About Accessibyte
Our simple approach to assistive technology
Accessibility Advocate
Accessibyte was founded with one simple goal in mind: make better software for blind users!
Our accessibility-included approach is unique and effective in supporting users quickly, before or after students are ready for more complicated solutions.
Years of experience teaching assistive technology to blind and low vision users proved a new approach was needed. So we set out to change the way teachers reach blind and visually impaired students.
Working With Teachers
The first app we built was Typio. Once teachers found out about Typio, ideas started pouring in. Record keeping, accessibility settings, you name it! Accessibyte is the culmination of hundreds of great ideas from many amazing teachers.
These collaboration with teachers ultimately lead to the creation of Accessibyte Online, where students can log to study and play games without needing any outside accessibility software. Thank you to the users who brought us there!

Accessibyte’s Mission
Listen to Users
Getting accessibility right is tough. Accessibyte listens to users and builds features based on user feedback.
Explore Ideas
Sometimes it takes a weird idea to make amazing software. Just look at the Typing Pets. They’re weird, unique and super effective for learning!
Lovable Apps
We knew Typio was a hit when teachers said their general classroom students were jealous of the blind and visually impaired kids’ software. Accessibyte builds towards that mindset with every app we make.
Keep it Simple
Our apps are simple, intuitive and consistent across difference devices so there’s no struggle. Theaverage learning curve for our software is only 1 minute.
A simple approach to assistive technology
A Simple Approach to Assistive Technology
We want Accessibyte to be the first and easiest educational app you rely on.
Complex assistive technology can be difficult to learn. Even teachers and parents may struggle to help students navigate their accessibility software. That’s where the Accessibyte approach shines.
We include the voicing, magnification, and visual settings without the need for outside assistive technology. There are no hidden commands or complex menus.
Our super easy navigation is consistent no matter where our users login from, or what device they’re using.
A small operation making a big difference
Follow us and spread the word
The passion of our users is simply amazing. Accessibyte will continue to match that passion by building apps to support the teachers and students who inspire us. Working together, we can make something amazing!
